Description
- Bill Evans Trio 64 (Acoustic Sounds) (180g) LP
- Label: Verve
- Release date: 27/8/2021
. Mastered by Ryan K. Smith on Sterling Sound from the original analog tapes, they appear on 180 gram LPs in gatefold covers In 1964 these included bass player Gary Peacock and drummer Paul Motian. In December 1963 they recorded the album "Trio 64" together at Webster Hall in New York City. The recordings were a reunion with his old sideman Motian, who had already worked on his debut "New Jazz Conceptions" in 1956. However, it is the first and only recorded work with the talented bassist Gary Peacock. This makes the perfect, harmonious interplay of the musicians all the more astonishing.
