Description
This is Riverside Records RLP 376, Bill Evans Trio Sunday At The Village Vanguard Featuring Scott LaFaro, a blue, reels, deep groove label original mono issue of this classic piano trio record. The record is visually in VG+ condition with multiple brush marks visible on both sides. However, the record plays excellently with only occasional light background crackle audible on side 1 and two spots on All Of You on side 2 where 3 light pops are audible. The music, including the bass solos, is clear and up front without distortion. A nice listening experience with this extremely quiet music. The original textured cover has partial splits on all three sides (see photos) but is otherwise excellent. The deep groove labels are excellent and show no spindle marks. This is not a pristine archive copy of this wonderful original mono recording, but it is much better than a mere "play" copy. I would say it is still collector's grade. The record was cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12 and in mono mode. Please check our other listings as we discount shipping for multiple orders. Thanks for looking.
