BIG STAR RADIO CITY Ardent (Demo) ADS 1501
Up for auction is an original 1974 Ardent (demonstration) pressing of Big Star's 2nd lp, "Radio City". Despite the absence of Chris Bell, this lp for me is the one that I listen to the most (of the three). Gorgeous pop tunes sung and played to perfection. Essential 70s pop.
DEAD WAX INFO: Side 1 has ? STXS-0740-3 AS-0565 --L.NIX-- SON all etched into the dead wax. Side 2 has ?? STXS-0741-3 AS-0566 --L.NIX-- SON all etched into the dead wax. OG 1974 Ardent pressing (mono and stereo cuts). VINYL VISUAL: VG+ and WAY better with some VERY light marking. Looks to be played maybe once or twice.
VINYL PLAY GRADE: VG+ and oh so close to NM with AMAZING fidelity and some sporadic static. Plays pretty much as new. You would be hard pressed to find a better sounding copy (especially at this starting price).
COVER VISUAL: VG+ and maybe a bit better with general wear (slight ring and rubbing and discolouration). Demonstration stamp rear. SEE PICTURES PLEASE. Shows really well.
Comes with plain white paper inner which I have lined this with an Audiophile style rice plastic inner. DETAILS ON SELLER AND SHIPPING

Play grade is done on a Thorens TD 165 through Yamaha amplification and JBL reference headphones (treble set high so there will be no surprises when you get the item).
ALL ITEMS WILL BE SHIPPED WITH PROPER MAILERS AND EXTRA PADDING, PARTICULARLY AT THE CORNERS. I HAVE MADE FAR TOO MANY PURCHASES ON EBAY WHERE THE ITEM HAS ARRIVED WITH DINGED CORNERS DUE TO INADEQUATE PACKAGING MATERIAL. BY USING FOLDED BUBBLE WRAP IN ALL FOUR CORNERS, YOU CAN BE ASSURED OF AN ITEM WITHOUT DINGED CORNERS (OR DAMAGE OF ANY KIND FOR THAT MATTER). Non-tracked shipping throughout the U.S.A will be $13 CANADIAN per item, as will tracked shipping within Canada. Tracked shipping to the U.S.A. will be $16 CANADIAN for items under 500g, and slightly more for items over 500g. Most single sleeve items can be shipped as under 500g. Gatefolds and multi-sets will be over 500g.
Being a reasonable person, I will be absorbing ALL of the shipping material cost, and some of the actual postage cost.

I do offer full refunds (excluding cost to get it back to me), on any item that is not satisfactory. SINCE SHIPPING OUTSIDE OF NORTH AMERICA IS RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE (Thank You Canada Post), I will rarely list gatefolds or multi-items for sale overseas. IF ANYONE OUTSIDE OF NORTH AMERICA IS CRAZY INTERESTED IN ANY ITEM, I WILL QUOTE SHIPPING ON REQUEST. Since a lot of the stuff that I will be selling is of higher end quality, rarely will things be offered overseas. Sorry folks. Again, I can consider requests on an item-by-item basis.
