Description
Original Big Star Third Test Press LP. If you’re looking at the listing you likely know the story. This one is a rough example as the pressing was fast & cheap. I’d grade the vinyl Fair/Good. There’s a sliver of vinyl missing on one edge. It’s in the beginning grooves but does not enter the music. The music kicks in right at the end of the damage. The vinyl plays with a good bit of background noise, light pops, and some hiss. No skips on my turntable.
The label was written on by Chilton or Fry. Interesting to note the message “Fuck It”.
I’m including a Memphis newsprint program that features Big Star & advertises one of the few shows they played in their hometown. The centerfold is a color poster. The paper is very fragile due to age. Another difficult to obtain Big Star item.
