Atlanta-born bluesman Big Maceo Merriweather sings and plays piano on his very first record, doing "Texas Blues" and "Worried Life Blues" on Bluebird 8827. He is joined by Tampa Red on guitar, and Ransom Knowling on string bass.
Recorded in Chicago on June 24, 1941, the record is in excellent to excellent-minus (E to E-) condition.
