Description
This is an original RED Vinyl copy of Big Maceo CHICAGO BREAKDOWN/If You Ever Change Your Ways RCA Victor No. 50-00002 pressed in 1949. The label is clean with no writing or marks on either side. The 45 does have some light scratches but nothing that really affects the play or overall sound. Much of the original gloss is still on the record. Using the Goldmine grading system I would grade it VG or better ( I try to grade conservatively). I'm including a brief description of Grades to help clarify them for the novice collector. VERY GOOD PLUS: "record will show signs that it was played and otherwise handled by a previous owner who took good care of it. Record surfaces may show some slight signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect ones listening experience. The label may have some ring wear or discoloration, but it should be barely noticeable. An LP jacket may have slight signs of wear also and may be marred by a cut-out hole". VERY GOOD: Surface noise will be evident upon playing but will not overpower the music otherwise. Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as will light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound. Labels may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers attached. The same will be true of picture sleeves or 45 covers. However, it will not have all of these problems at the same time, only two or three of them". GOOD/GOOD PLUS: "A record in Good or Good Plus condition can be put onto a turntable and will play through without skipping. But it will have significant surface noise and scratches and visible groove wear. A jacket or sleeve will have seem splits. Tape writing, ring wear or other defects will start to overwhelm the object". S/H is $5.45 Priority w/tracking & includes a new 45 mailer (ins. extra).
