BLUE NOTE MONO VINYL 1ST PRESSING!
Seldom seen in UK auctions is this beautiful MONO 1ST PRESSING of Big John Patton's hard bop classic, Oh Baby! (Blue Note BLP 4192). I have fully play-tested the vinyl, so my grading is based on how the record actually sounds, as well as how it looks.
Vinyl is strictly graded in Excellent condition, with very slight crackle on the run-in but a nice quiet soundstage throughout. Having played the album in full, it sounds punchy and loud throughout, being another Rudy Van Gelder special!
The laminated, dimpled cover is strictly graded in Very Good+ condition, due to mild ringwear & discolouring on the back cover, and some slight scuffing on the top edge. However, it is structurally sound and otherwise in superb condition - and, needless to say, with a wonderful cover picture! Interestingly, one of his other albums advertised on the back cover is 'Blue John', which was eventually held back from its original Blue Note release schedule and lost in the archives until the 1980s!

Note that I separate the vinyl from the outer sleeve for postage to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me, and in the way I'd like to receive them.
