Description

The Best of the Wailers

This is The Best of the Wailers on Coxsone records. Bought in Kingston, Jamaica in 1978, so it's the real deal. This copy has the FCD - 127 A/B matrix number. The cover artwork is silkscreened and you can actually feel the ink texture. Plastic covering has protected the artwork since purchase.

Sleeve: VG++
 Silkscreens always look a bit scrubby due to the lithography. There is a brown stain on the upper left corner from the original glue. There is very light ring wear on the back, but this is being picky

Vinyl: VG +
 Jamaican pressing with (light) pitted vinyl. Record has a lot of shine and looks very good, Some very light surface marks. There is a light constant background noise, more audible in between tracks. The music is very much on top of surface noise. A lot of the surface noise is probably the pressing. There are no deep scratches or scuffs and the record plays fine without jumps or sticks. If you disregard the Jamaican pressing techniques this should have a higher grade.

Labels: Ex-
Very clean, no writing or discoloration.
