Hi folks, thanks for taking a look at my auction. This Mobile Fidelity pressing is part of a large collection of MFSL LPs I’ll be auctioning off over the next several weeks. Please check out my other auctions; there are over 140 MOFIs I’ve finally decided to part with.
If you do not have a US shipping address, or cannot pay via money order or cashier's check, PLEASE DO NOT BID ON THIS AUCTION. I hate writing this so early in in my text, but the last few weeks have taught me that some bidders just can't seem to read all the way to the bottom....
Here's one that you rarely see! This auction is for a factory sealed Mobile Fidelity pressing of Berlioz's "Symphonie Fantastique", with Lorin Maazel conducting the Cleveland Orchestra (MFSL 1-528). My store purchased this LP directly from Mobile Fidelity in the early 90s, and this one was stashed away and never opened. The sealed plastic baggie has no tears, even in the perforated zip strip opening on the left side. The cover is as new, with no seam splits or dented corners. This is an amazing recording - you'll have to decide whether to keep it sealed as an investment or open it and enjoy a perfect new LP!

I own a high-end audio store in Ann Arbor, Michigan called Overture Audio. We’re a leader in 2-channel and analog playback, and if this LP was played at all, it would have been once or twice on several thousands of dollars worth of Linn turntable. And, unless it’s one of the sealed pressings, it was probably cleaned on the store’s VPI HW17 record cleaning machine. Overture Audio originally purchased the majority of these LPs directly from Mobile Fidelity.
I have 8 years of perfect feedback on eBay – in addition to 5 years of perfect feedback under “overtureaudio” as well. If you’re lucky enough to win one of the records from this collection, you’ll be very happy or your money back – you can expect good communication and no hassles. I know there are a wide range of standards out there when it comes to record grading – unless I note otherwise, these LPs are in near mint, or mint minus condition. They were always stored properly, and were always kept in heavy plastic outer sleeves.
For payment, I’ll be accepting money orders or cashiers checks. I’d rather go hunting with Dick Cheney than take Paypal; don’t even ask.
As for shipping, your record(s) will come from my store via UPS ground in sturdy cardboard LP shipping boxes. I will combine multiple records to give you a break on shipping. If you want me to use a faster form of UPS, just ask – I’ll shoot you a price.
