This item has been re-listed with a lower reserve, however I can assure you it really is rarer than the original album!
You've heard of the extremely rare album 'Beginnings' by Ambrose Slade which was released in 1969 (Fontana STL 5492). It promptly bombed, therefore making it one of the most sought after and collectable albums of all time. (to prove the point 3 Original copies have been sold on ebay in the last 2 weeks with prices ranging from £470-£970)
Well this is that very same album re-packaged for the mass market and was due to be released in the UK on the budget label 'Contour' during 1975 in a deliberate attempt to cash-in on Slade's fame at the time.
A last minute legal hitch meant that it would not get final approval by Slade's management, so the release was cancelled. However, a batch of albums had already been pressed so these had to be withdrawn and melted down.
Fortunately, a few managed to escape the incinerator and this is one of them!
This album is absolutely MEGA RARE (probably much rarer than the original) and these days you will be hard pressed to find one any where in the world. To find one in this condition is virtually impossible.....
I can assure you, this album is in pristine condition, almost as if I'd bought it yesterday, even the static is still there on the record. This is a fabulous genuine item and I promise that you won't be disappointed with the quality, so go on make that bid, it deserves a good home.
