Description

3 ITEMS ARE INCLUDED HERE - Beethoven The Nine Symphonies Bruno Walter D7L 265LP. The Cloth Case itself, is in very nice condition, with the 4 cloth corners showing the wear. The actual cloth on the covers has a new quality to it. The white spine area shows some color tint ageing, inside of covers with some light fading. The gold framed case holding the records - Very good condition. The booklet inside - Very good condition. The poster shows wear in the creases, it has been folded for decades. Without the ageing situation, it appears never used. When our Uncle had old manuscripts that he needed to frame, if they had holes or tears, he would do the following -  The mat that he put them on, would be the same color, so the worn area would blend in. This is a large poster of Bruno Walter, approx. 18" x 24". The wearing is not major, and would be quite presentable if framed, from our past experience. The 7 Records are all Glossy, Clean, & Bright. They feel as if they were never removed, Very Flat, no Warping. We do notice on a few, some light wispy lines. Inside decal is very good on each one. The paper sleeves are very good as well. The photo's hopefully show the quality. Our late Uncle was a Concert Organ Musician over 65 years. We'll be here until next year with his Music Collection! He was self taught. His love of the Classical Genre, had him learning the Main theme of each work, (Beethoven for this example). Then he would embellish parts of it by incorporating his own style, within it. "Perhaps to appeal to a newer group of ears, being careful to not offend the intentions of the composer"..his words not ours. We enjoyed all of his performances. So, he could very well have played parts of a few of these along the way. However, he loved Beethoven, so let us continue with the Collection we are presenting here. You will also receive the 21 Record set of BEETHOVEN Complete Piano Music 1968, Alfred Brendel & Zubin Mehta. Our Uncle thought Zubin Mehta was masterful in the 1st - 3 Tenors Production. Box shows some wear. Booklet inside looks undisturbed. Looking at all 21 Records, looking New, Unplayed, & Flat. Record 12, looking carefully, perhaps it is a fingerprint smudge, faint, and 13, a light wispy line. Could be from moving the box around over the years, honestly we would only be guessing. Our Uncle moved a number of times in his 98 years of life.  Our photo shows 1, 12, 13, for your inspection. Centers of all records very new looking. If you need more photo's, do not hesitate to ask. We respect everyone's criteria for judging records. The plain paper sleeves have light tinting, with a check in each corner. You will also receive a Large (Coffee Table Style) book - LUDWIG VAN BEETHOVEN Bicentennial Edition 1770 - 1970. Burgundy cover with Photo, light dust marks on cover. 1972 Edition, Gorg & Hans Schmidt, Hamburg. Looks undisturbed, 276 pages, with text & color photo's. The cover or pages do not behave as though it was ever fully opened. ...a Beautiful looking book. Our late Uncle would receive gifts for his playing quite often. He could very well have personally garnered the first album, and received the 21 Record Set & Book, as gifts. The parcel, properly & securely packed, containing all 3 items, will weigh approx. 22 lbs., 15 x 15 x 6 inches. These three items were in a separate case in his Library, with a small note stating - "Keep Together". So, we felt all 3 should go to a Good Home. Maybe Yours? Thank you for all your time here. ......the music lives on.
