READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning. I can’t test-play at the minute. Please don’t bid if this is a problem for you.
So with that said…
Beatles-Related LP SEALED George Harrison Living in the Material World, First Pressing 1973
Some people love this album, others don’t. From what I’ve tasted of desire, I hold to those who favor fire. In other words, I’ve always thought this album had some great tracks on it. (Check out the drum fills in “Sue Me, Sue You Blues.” I refuse to believe that was Jim Keltner.) Or the extremely singable earworm, “Don’t Let Me Wait Too Long.”
I think I know enough of hate to say that Ringo’s just as great.
And will suffice.
Vinyl--- NM SEALED.
Plates--- NM SEALED.
Cover--- EXCELLENT SEALED. For some reason, Apple Records sure loved to issue album covers and picture sleeves in glossy black. This makes the albums always susceptible to ringwear and dirtwear. Not this cover.
Whatever light amount of ringwear this cover has endured, it is exclusively to the shrinkwrap. There is a slight to not-quite-moderate record outdent, both sides.
The only issues for this cover is that the top left and bottom left corners suffered from some shelfwear, resulting in a little loss of gloss and slick. Bottom corner looks more like an area where the gloss did not take to the cover, as the shrinkwrap is undisturbed.
Breathe Holes--- There are two Capitol breathe holes in the shrink on the front cover, left side. One is near the top, the other is due south of it.
Labels--- NM SEALED.
Apple Insert and Inner Sleeve--- NM SEALED.
Very nice copy of this George Harrison solo LP!
CAUTION! There has been a startling increase in bidders canceling their bids. A word to the wise, I have started blocking any and all bidders who retract their bids regardless of the reason.
Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!
(Please note: Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized. The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle. Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix? Thanks!)
