READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning.  I can’t test-play at the minute. Please don’t bid if this is a problem for you.

So with that said…

Beatles-Rel LP 1968 1st Press George Harrison Wonderwall with Reversed Cover NM Vinyl

By far, most copies of “Wonderwall” that you will come across have the front cover showing as the color painting of the man at the wall.  This copy has that slick as the back cover, and the front cover is the black-and-white drawing of the Wonderwall.

The other anomaly to this copy is that since the front cover is the Wonderwall, it also meant that the slick had to be applied right-side up with “Wonderwall music by George Harrison” at the top.

The rest of the copies with the color painting as the front cover applied this slick upside-down.

Vinyl--- NM/ NM.  With the exceptions of some sub-groove manufacturer’s defects from the factory, vinyl is sweet.  Nice-looking record.

Plates--- W1/ W1.  Machine-stamped triangle with the letters, “IAM” inside it makes this copy pressed by Scranton.

Cover--- VG+.  Structurally solid, NO SPLIT SEAMS.  Spine does have moderate wear.  See photo.  Back cover has some dirtwear.  Judging by the positioning of the spine in the photos, you can clearly see that the covers have been reversed.

Labels--- NM/EX.  Both labels look 1968-newly printed.  Side 2 label however, has a couple of extremely light spindle marks that weren’t there at the factory, so we can’t call it a NM label.

Insert--- Black-and-white paper insert with George’s face and the track listing on one side and the Apple logo on the other side is present and in Excellent condition.  Slight record outdent and one finger divot are the only issues.

(Fun fact:  If you hold this insert to a bright light with the Apple logo side facing you, it looks like the Apple has George’s eyes!)

“Mfd. By Apple Records, Inc.” disclaimer appears at the bottom of the Side 2 label, making this copy a first pressing 1968.

Capitol Inner Sleeve--- Generic white inner sleeve with die-cut hole for the labels to show is present and in VG condition.

RIAA: N/A

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

Note:  All LP’s ship outside of their album covers in order not to damage the covers during shipment.

CAUTION!  There has been a startling increase in bidders canceling their bids.  A word to the wise, I have started blocking any and all bidders who retract their bids regardless of the reason.

Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)
