Here is your chance to own a Red Label, 1-G 1-G, Please Please Me, in lovely condition
Released on 11th January 1963, this single should display the MT tax code introduced on 1st January. This shows that these earliest issues were pressed before that date and carry the PT code, by mistake. This 1G pressing is such an early copy that some of the pre-release demonstration discs display higher stamper codes

Both side of this disc play through with no audible intrusions
The run-ins are near silent and there is none of the usually surface crackle to be heard
The vinyl still displays a good gloss lustre, only showing numerous light hairlines but no deep scratches or scuffs
There are no pops, ticks, clicks, skips or stalls
The songs burst from the speakers with all the power of this mono mix and just mild peakware, at high volume

The red labels are in lovely condition, with vibrant silver text and numerous spindle trails, less on side one
Both sides omit the 'Made in Gt. Britain', text
There is a small 'bruised' area on the push out centre of side one but the paper is still complete

The correct, original sleeve is fully intact, with no tears or splits, just age toning

All in all, a rare opportunity to add this fabulous earliest issue to your collection
