Very Rare Paul McCartney U.K. 2LP “Strawberries Oceans Ships Forest".
Rare edition with Limited Edition, Numbered White Cover.
This copy is stamped "Limited Edition Number: No. 00667.
FIRE 1 - Parlophone PCSD 145; 7243 8 27167 1 6.
Pressed on clear vinyl.
Unlike the more common red/green cover edition, this one has the unique catalog number “FIRE 1” on the cover’s spine; it has white labels on the records with the track titles, instead of the red and green labels on the red-cover edition.
The album was recorded in 1992 (released in 1993) by Paul McCartney and mixing engineer Youth, who were billed only as “The Fireman”; neither artist’s name appears on the album. The tracks on the album are different mixes of a single recording and include samples from many tracks, including “The Broadcast” and “Reception” from McCartney’s “Back to the Egg” album.
The vinyl records are in mint condition and have never been played! The cover has noticeable creases in several places. Please see all photographs.
This is truly one of the rarest and most experimental albums ever recorded by Paul McCartney and this limited edition is the rarest of the rare!
