Description

The time has come for me to part with my 50 year old Beatles collection. This collection consists of LP's, 45's, picture sleeves, EP's, 12" singles, picture discs, sealed LP's, test pressings, acetates, promos, box sets, and CD's from the US and the UK. The collection also includes vinyl and CD's from John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Ringo Starr, and Apple artists. There are numerous rarities in this collection. The vast majority of the vinyl is in NM- to NM condition; I tried not to acquire anything with a grade below that, or attempted to upgrade, although a few of the extremely hard to find items I was unable to upgrade and will have a grade below that. If you are a Beatles collector, be sure to bookmark me as the vinyl I'll be listing will surely be of interest. Here we go; a splendid time is guaranteed for all.

The Beatles & Frank Ifield-"Jolly What!" LP, Vee Jay VJS 1085, released in 1964. This is a very scarce Stereo pressing. This was yet another attempt by Vee Jay to squeeze another LP out of the few Beatles songs they still had permission to use. There are four Beatles tracks here ("Please Please Me", "From Me To You", "Thank You Girl", and "Ask Me Why"), with eight Frank Ifield tracks. The irony is these Vee Jay LP's have become much more valuable than most of the Capitol LP's from this period. Vinyl, VISUALLY graded by Goldmine standards, is in strong VG+, almost NM- condition; it has several very light marks, more on side one than two. Both sides still gleam like new. Labels are in NM- condition with each having just a spindle mark. Cover (which has the "copulation" error text on the back), is in strong VG condition with some general age/ring wear, nothing severe, a worn top left seam, and some writing on the back. Includes the original Vee Jay inner sleeve, with general wear, and a partial side and bottom split. Rare piece of Beatles vinyl; this Stereo pressing is much harder to find than you think.

Again, Beatle fans, this should be one of the first places you look for rare Beatle items from now on. Thanks for looking.
