Description
Beatles original UK release 1st Press 'Please Please Me' PCS 3042 Stereo Yellow/Black label in almost NM Condition & probably only played a few times.
Matrix & Stampers Side One: YEX 94-1 2 MH (looks like the letter H, but not 100% certain) Side Two: YEX 95-1 1MG
VINYL has a beautiful high gloss both sides and is, I would say, in true Near Mint Condition with no discernible scratches, marks or wear etc etc etc. Under a very powerful light and magnifying glass I can just about detect a few light spidery whispers in a few isolated areas that I would not describe as scratches and are almost negligible. I challenge any vinyl from 50 years ago not to have these, even those described as apparently being in MINT Condition. LABEL is in Near Mint Condition both sides and looks as good as new. Here is the evidence that this record has only been played several times as the usual giveaway wear and line around the spindle hole are virtually negligible. SLEEVE is in Near Mint Condition front and back with no record ring, discolouration, splits, tears, creases etc etc etc apart from on the Front Cover which has a very small scuff to the bottom right corner with a short light surface crease running diagonally above it. Otherwise it has a beautiful high gloss and looks almost as new. The Back Cover looks likewise like new with no marks or discolouration. The original white colour is still vivid white with just some extremely and almost negligible light yellowing along the opening edge. The Spine is perfect with no splits, rubbing or wear of any kind. All other corners, edges and opening are clean and crisp with virtually no wear or knocks etc.
Overall a 50 year old record in beautiful NM Condition. If you have any questions or would like to see more pictures please do not hesitate to ask me.

It has been pointed out to me that I made a mistake in describing the record as a 1963 release. After research I found I had indeed made an error.
Because it has 'The Gramophone Co Ltd' (not Parlophone) written around the rim, and that it has a small 'Stereo' written on the back cover it dates it to the 7th issue in 1965. I apologise for any inconvenience.
But I should stress that the rest of my description including that it is in fantastic Near Mint condition is completely accurate. On 06-Apr-14 at 17:06:45 BST, seller added the following information:
Sorry, but it seems that my last update was also incorrect. Record collecting is so complicated and I admit to not getting that involved as there are just too many variables.
Anyway, this Stereo release is apparently the 8th pressing in 1969. There I hope that finally clears that up.
