This Extremely Rare Stereo Second State Version of Yesterday and Today has been in my collection since 1969 and is in Very Good+ Condition with only minimal wear. I purchased it from the original owner. Only 10% of all the Yesterday and Today albums produced were Stereo making this one of the more Rare and sought after albums of all time! Second state unpeeled versions are becoming increasingly rare and valuable due to the fact that many have been peeled trying to expose the original butcher cover.
The album cover is bright white. There are no seam splits. There is no writing. There is only minor wear to the Album cover with the most prevalent being a red mark on front of the album cover at middle right (see pics) as well as a bump to front top right corner as well as rear lower corners (see pics)
The record itself is in VG+ condition with only minor wear. Has a few scratches but none that affect play. Labels are VG+ with only light wear (see pics)
The original Orange inner sleeve is in VG+ condition with only minor wear
Copies with the pasted-on cover intact above the 'butcher' image are known as "second state" or "pasteovers". Today, "pasteover" covers that have remained unpeeled are also becoming increasingly rare and valuable;
The original LP sleeves for Yesterday and Today were assembled at Capitol's four US plants situated in different cities: Los Angeles, California; Scranton, Pennsylvania; Winchester, Virginia; and Jacksonville, Illinois. Numbers designating where the covers originated were printed near the RIAA symbol on the back; for example, stereo copies from the Los Angeles plant were designated "5" and mono Los Angeles copies were marked "6". Mono copies outnumbered stereo copies by about ten to one, making the stereo copies far more rare and valuable to collectors.
