The Beatles Yellow Submarine Album
The original First Press of this LP issued in January 1969.
In addition here we have
- the extremely rare MONO version.
Vinyl in Near-Mint condition

This is identified as the genuine first pressing by three markings, that were only on the first pressing
1) sold in UK subject to.... on the vinyl labels see photo1.
2) red horizontal lines on the back of the cover see photo2.
3) the words "Nothing is Real" on the front of the cover see photo3. These words are also only on UK sales.

MONO - by 1969 most people had a stereo player, and as stereo LPs cost the same to buy as mono LPs, almost all copies sold in 1969 were in stereo format. MONO copies of this LP are thus now extremely rare.

LPs
*Original 1st pressing from 1969
* "Sold in UK subject to..." printed on LP labels.
* Dark green Apple label.
* Label number PMC 7070 ie MONO
* First matrix numbers on both sides XEX715-1 and XEX716-1
* Mother/stampers are 2RH and 3RD
* Visual and play gradings range from Near-Mint to EX+ . All tracks of all sides have been played all the way through, listened to, and play graded. Detailed play notes are at the foot of the page.
Outer Sleeve
* First issue sleeve with red horizontal lines on the rear of the cover.
* UK first issue - due to presence of the words "nothing is real" on the front cover.
* MONO cover, identified as PMC7070 topright of the rear of the cover.
* The back of the cover is not laminated, so as usual now has some dirty marks, especially at the sides where it is held in the hand put LPs in and out. No tears and no writing.
* The front of the cover also has no tears and no writing. There is some light scuffing in the middle of the bottom edge, the card is completely intact and not torn but a few flakes of laminate are missing. The wording on the spine is completely clear though there are a few creases. The top corner is scuffed.
Visual and Play-Grading of the LP
Side 1 -Visually graded Near-Mint; in normal light the vinyl looks perfect with a lovely shine; in very strong light only the faintest of hairline marks show that it is not new. Play graded Near-Mint. The whole side played with no ticks, no clicks, no hops, no background noise, and beautiful silence between tracks. All I detected was two extremely faint clicks in the gaps between sides 1/2 and 2/3.
Side 2 - Visually graded Near-Mint- , very similar to side 1. Play graded EX+ , just an odd occasional very quiet click was detected in some quiet parts. As before, no ticks, no hops, no jumps, no sticks , just great sound.
