1969 UK 1st PRESS STEREO LP

**EXCELLENT EARLY COPY**

This rare excellent 1969 1st stereo pressing is on the UK dark green Apple label: PCS 7070
Both labels carry the 'Sold in UK..' text & 'Apple Records..' rims.
There is no tax/price code is visible on either label.

Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed stereo cover with Patent numbers on the lower flipback.
Complete with its original matt black, die-cut inner-sleeve.

Matrix numbers: YEX 715-1 & YEX 716-1
Stamper numbers: 1/H & 1/R

Visual: EXCELLENT

Superb deep-gloss, clean surfaces which bear just a few faint surface lines from removal from the inner directly under a halogen desk lamp.
There are no heavy marks or any scratches to either side.
Quality, heavy sharp-edged vinyl which lies 100% flat both sides on the turntable with no dishing or warping.

Audio: EXCELLENT PLUS

Rarely & carefully played there is no trace of any crackle or groovewear distortion on any track.
Both run-ins and all bands play extremely quietly without any interference.
All the delicate orchestral tracks play cleanly & clearly without any clicks or pops.
A great listen.


Cover: EXCELLENT

Bright, clean & unyellowed front panel displaying just 3 small thumbnail creases toward the opening edge but no other significant wear.
There is a bump to the upper left corner but the others are in good shape & minimal opening edge wear and no tears or feathering.
The rear panel is very clean with just minor storage wear but no significant marks or any writing or missing paper.
All flipbacks, spine & seams are intact, clean & undamaged.


Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT PLUS

Great example with no creasing, tears or splits.
