1969 UK 1st PRESS **MONO** LP

**EXCELLENT COPY**

This excellent 1969 MONO 1st pressing is on the UK dark green Apple label: PMC 7070
The labels carry the 'Sold in UK..' text and 'Apple Records..' rims.
There is no tax/price code visible on either label.

Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' cover with RED lines & 'Patent no.' on lower flipback.
Complete with its original matt black, die-cut inner-sleeve.

Matrix numbers: XEX 715-1 & XEX 716-1
Stamper numbers: 1/GD & 1/GD

Visual: EXCELLENT

Bright & glossy surfaces bearing just two 5cms surface lines on side 1, and a single 3cm fingernail scuff on side 2. All are not feelable.
Further close inspection under a hlogen desk lamp reveals only some light sleeve removal hairlines but no other significant marks.
Quality, sharp-edged vinyl which lies 100% flat both sides on the turntable with no dishing or warping.

Audio: VERY GOOD PLUS

Carefully and certainly not overplayed the sound is rich & full and is without any significant groovewear distortion.
On side 1, some light crackle is audible on track 1 and there are a few soft ticks at the beginning of track 2.
All the orchestral tracks play clearly with just an occaisional light tick but no heavy clicks, hiss, jumps or repeats anywhere.

Cover: EXCELLENT

Bright & vibrant front panel retaining its high-gloss, unscratched laminate which bears some light edge wrinkles and a crease to the lower right corner.
The lower right corner has a light bruise but the other are clean & sharp. The opening edges display slight wear but no tears or feathering.
The rear panel is clean and white with no discolouration, writing or missing paper.
All the flipbacks, seams and the spine are unsplit, unstressed and intact.
