1969 UK 1st PRESS **MONO** LP
**EXCELLENT COPY**
This superb early 1969 MONO 1st pressing is on the UK dark green Apple label: PMC 7070
The labels carry the 'Sold in UK..' text and 'Apple Records..' rims.
There is no tax/price code visible on either label.
Housed in an early front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' cover with RED lines, & blank lower flipback.
Complete with its original matt black, die-cut inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: XEX 715-1 & XEX 716-1
Stamper numbers: 2/P & 1/M

Small spot on side 2 label.
Visual: EXCELLENT PLUS
Pristine, high gloss surfaces undulled by groove-whitening from overplay, careless handling or improper storage.
Close inspection under a halogen desk lamp reveals nothing more than a few minor sleeve revmoval marks on side 2 but no scuffs or scratches whatsoever.
Quality, thick, sharp-edged vinyl which lies 100% flat both sides on the turntable with no dishing or warping.
Audio: EXCELLENT
Carefully & rarely played this copy retains excellent overall sound with no significant deterioration to the sound quality.
Listening at volume on headphones some light intermittant light wear to some extreme peaks can be detected but no major faults.
The fragile orchestral tracks play cleanly with just minimal background but no clicks, pops or other wear.
Both run-ins & all bands play silently without intereference. There are no jumps or repeats anywhere.
Cover: EXCELLENT MINUS
Clean, bright & vibrant front panel retaining a high-gloss laminate bearing minor discolouration & a single small 'thumbnail' crease.
There is some minor shelf wear to the corners but no bumps and the opening edges display light wear but no tears or feathering.
The rear panel is clean and bright with just a tiny written number in the upper right corner, but no missing paper or other faults.
All the flipbacks are very clean, intact & undamaged and both seams and the spine are in perfect condition.
Strict visual grading in daylight and directly under a halogen desk lamp.
All discs are carefully play graded in their entirety on a Rega P9 deck with an Ortofon Kontrapunkt 'A' cartridge.
