THE BEATLES - 'YELLOW SUBMARINE'
1969 UK 1st *MONO* PRESSING LP
This hard to find EXCELLENT UK 1969 1st MONO pressing bears the dark green Apple labels with the catalogue number: PMC 7070
Both labels include the 'Sold in UK...' texts but are without any purchase tax code on either label.
The disc is housed in an early type front laminated, tri-flipback cover without the printer's credit on the rear lower flipback.
This copy is complete with its original matt-black, die-cut inner-sleeve.

Rich, clean & blemish-free with just a handful of light spindle trails to each centre hole.
Visual: 1. VERY GOOD + 2. EXCELLENT
Both playing surfaces are extremely clean & retain all of their 'as new' deep-gloss shine. Side 1 is downgraded due only to two feelable hairline scratches on side 1 - one measuring 2cms and the other 1cm. Close examination directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp reveals some inevitable wispy inner-sleeve removal hairlines but no other significant or major blemishes. Both sides of this very respectable disc lie 100% flat on the turntable with no signs fo dishing or warping.
Play: VERY GOOD +
This copy has received a moderate amount of careful play and is without any major deterioration to the sound quality throughout. My careful play check at volume detected slight play-wear on some loud peaks on side 1 and the aforementioned scratches produce some repeating light ticks in the band before and on the introduction to 'Hey Bulldog' and again in the band before the next track, 'It's All Too Much' - but they are not audible during this song. The orchestral side plays cleanly and clearly with only a touch of wear to the loud passages on the final two tracks. Overall this is a very listenable copy so don't let those minor flaws discourage you.

EXCELLENT +
An outstanding, early example with an immaculate high-gloss front panel which is vibrant and unfaded. There is just a single small 'thumbnail' towards the opening edge but little else to fault here. All corners are clean, sharp and unbumped & both opening edge seem remarkably untouched. The rear panel is pristine and blemish-free with no marks, writing or missing anywhere. All flipbacks are clean & white and both seams and the fully worded spine are smooth, unstressed and completely undamaged. Tough to find a better early example.
Inner-sleeve
EXCELLENT
Clean & flat with some minor storagewear wrinkles but no tears to the top edge or centre hole and no splits to any seam.
