1963 UK INITIAL 1st **STEREO** PRESSING LP

***3 x SIDE 2 LABEL ERRORS***

This rare 1963 STEREO 1st pressing is on the UK black & yellow Parlophone label: PCS 3045
Both labels omit the 'Sold in UK..' text but carry 'Parlophone Co Ltd...' rims.
The 'KT' tax/price code is visible on the side 1 label.

This rare pressing carries 3 x side two label errors which only occured on initial pressings:

1) Misspelt 'Domion..' publishing credit for track 3 (should be 'Domnion')
2) The incorrect 'Jobete..' publishing credit for 'Money' (should be 'Dominion. Belinda').
3) The track 3 title is misspelt 'You Really Gotta Hold On Me' (should be 'You Really Got A Hold On Me).

Housed in the rarer front laminated, tri-flipback 'E. J. Day' stereo cover.
Complete with original 'Use Emitex' poly-lined inner-sleeve.

Labels: EXCELLENT MINUS

Two small marks and some spindle trails to side 1 & light hole wear to label 2.

Visual: EXCELLENT

Extremely clean, bright & deep gloss surfaces undulled by bag rash, careless handling or improper storage.
Side 1 displays a few light sleeve removal hairlines but side 2 is pristine & unmarked.
Close & careful inspection directly under a halogen desk lamp reveals just some additional paper hairlines but no other significant marks.
Quality, sharp-edged vinyl which lies 100% flat on both sides with no dishing or warping.

Audio: VERY GOOD PLUS

Frequently but carefully played, the sound is warm & clean with very little overall lessening to the sound quality.
There is some faint intermittant peak groovewear but no crackle or other significant audible faults.
Both run-ins & all bands play quietly with just an occaisional soft tick but no major intereference & there are no heavy clicks, jumps or repeats anywhere.


Cover: EXCELLENT MINUS

This rare example retains a high-gloss laminate bearing just some minor storage wear & a few light edge wrinkles but no 'thumbnails' or heavy creases.
There is a slight bump to the lower left & upper right corners but the opening edges are clean, sharp & unworn with no tears or feathering.
The rear panel is clean & white with a small sticker removal mark to the upper right & slight disc impression but no other marks or writing.
All the delicate flipbacks are intact & undamaged and the seams and spine are in in perfect condition with no splits, tears or other damage.


Strict visual grading in daylight and directly under a halogen desk lamp.

All discs are carefully play graded in their entirety on a Rega P9 deck with an Ortofon Kontrapunkt 'A' cartridge.
