  • Mint (M): The record is in perfect, unplayed condition. A sealed record may be assumed to be mint, but this can only be confirmed by opening it.

  • Near Mint (NM): The record is virtually flawless with no signs of wear. The sleeve is also nearly perfect, with no more than minor signs of handling.

  • Excellent (EX): The vinyl has only minimal, light marks that are difficult to see under normal lighting. The audio quality is still superb. Only has minute signs of use, reflecting high-quality care.

  • Very Good Plus (VG+): The vinyl has minor signs of wear like light scuffs or hairlines that don't affect play. The sleeve may show minor signs of wear like light ring wear or creasing.

  • Very Good (VG): The vinyl has more noticeable wear, including scratches and surface noise, but still plays through without skipping. The sleeve shows more significant wear like splits or ring wear.

  • Good (G): The record has significant surface noise, scratches, and groove wear but can still be played without skipping. The sleeve will show significant damage like seam splits and heavy wear.

  • Poor (P) or Fair (F): The record has major issues like cracks, warping, or skips, and is generally considered to be in the worst condition.
