About : Ultra Rare Original 1968 UK 1st Press!!! This MASSIVELY RARE LP was not available for long as a Top Loader with the side entry issue replacing it mere months after it was first released, and is INCREDIBLY HARD TO FIND, especially in this OUTRAGEOUS condition!!! An absolute classic LP from this incredible band!!! An astonishing album that really DESERVES to be in EVERY serious 60's / 70's record collection!!! Don't miss out on this MEGA RARE LP!!! If you like good music, bid now!!!

The LP :

Labels :

Classic UK 1st Press "Sold In UK" Apple labels!!! All sides are OUTSTANDING with NO real signs of age, NO graffiti, and NO writing OR tears whatsoever!!! Just has a TINY amount of ultra light spindle marks which suggests that this has barely had much play at all!!! FANTASTIC for a 41 year old record!!! All must grade overall at least as Excellent!!!

Record : Visual -

Spectacular Original 1968 UK 1st Press Vinyls!!! Nice bright, clean and shiny as if they were just pressed!!! Fantastic jet black mirror like surfaces, they look INCREDIBLE with NO nasty scratches, groovewear, or nasty deep scuffs whatsoever!!! The only blemishes off perfection are just a few of the lightest, wispy sleeve traces, one or two ultra light hairlines, and a TINY amount of mega mild non sounding paper scuffs (only visible in strong angled light) mostly caused from where it has sat or been removed from it's cover over the years!!! Of course, none of these ULTRA light blemishes interfere with play AT ALL!!! PHENOMENAL for a record of this age and rarity!!! AWESOME condition - you'll be amazed by how generally clean and unworn they are!!!

Sleeve :

Original 1st press 1968 top-loading laminated Stereo gatefold G&L sleeve complete with original UNSPLIT black inners (PHENOMENALLY hard to find in such fantastic condition), 1 photos, and mega rare lyric poster (with only some ULTRA mild general ageing such as VERY light general handling creases and literally one or two ultra light age spots - absolutely NO splits OR tape remains whatsoever - AWESOME)!!! IMPOSSIBLE to find this sleeve in anything approaching a good condition - most are spent, torn and worn due to age and the lifestyles of the buyers of this particular LP!!! This one is NOT, and looks BRILLIANT, especially considering the nature of these fragile sleeves!!! NO tears, NO splits, NO bad marks AT ALL, and still ULTRA strong and solid after all these years!!! Only has a few light signs of ageing such as literally one or two ultra light creases, a slight touch of a record imprint, a few very vague general age marks and just some mild creaming of the white colour (virtually EVERY copy of this has this age effect, absolutely NOTHING drastic - even when new, this sleeve was off-white!!!), just some very minimal signs of rubbing to the spine, a touch of denting/rounding to the four corners which basically ALL vintage LP's have, and POSSIBLY (just to be sure!!!) one or two other minor signs of age here and there, though nothing that really stands out to note at all!!! And that's truly about it!!! I tend to bring it down by listing the most minor negatives I can possibly find, but this remains a FANTASTIC sleeve, and a TRUE rarity to find one as brilliant as this - most have been virtually destroyed or are just about being held together, but not this one!!! It remains ultra strong, solid, unsplit and unspoilt, and even the spine remains ultra strong, solid, unsplit, and 100% readable!!!

please note revised matrix numbers!!!

THE BEATLES

Title : The Beatles / White Album      Label : Apple      Cat No : PMC 7067 & 7068

Matrix : XEX 709-1 / 710-1 / 711-1 / 712-1      No : 0133029

Issue : UK 1st

This is the rare UK 1st press of the 'White Album' by The Beatles. This press has the top opening sleeve, dark green Apple labels, ''Sold In The UK' label text, 'Mfd In UK' on all labels, black inner sleeves, and the lyric poster. The records have the earliest 1/1/1/1 matrix and the original wonderful heavy vinyl. The records are original, the black inners are original.

Record 1 is in Good condition. The vinyl has a bright shine with a number of light marks on each side and one mark on side 1. These marks cannot be heard during play and as such both sides play well - there is some occasional noise especially at the intro of both sides but the sound is still warm, clear and vibrant. There are no jumps and no pops just background noise. The dark green Apple labels are completely clean. The green is bold, the white is bright, the black text is sharp and there is some spindle wear. The record is complete with the original black inner sleeve in Very Good condition. There are no edge splits, the centre has some wear, but it is very firm and clean.

Record 2 is in Very Good condition. The vinyl has a stunning shine with a few very light marks on both sides. On playing the sound is bold and very clear. There is a little noise at the intro and some light background noise, but the voices are sharp and the backing completely clear. The dark green Apple labels are clean with sharp text and only light spindle wear. The record is complete with the original black inner in Very Good condition. There are no edge splits, the centre has some wear, but it is very firm and clean.

The 1st press double sided poster is in Very Good condition. The colours are bold and the whites are bright. The folds are a little delicate with a couple of holes and there are a few age spots. The lyrics are sharp and the edges are very firm with no feathering.

The Garrod & Lofthouse top opening laminated sleeve No. 0133029 is in Very Good condition. The laminate has a bright gloss and it is completely clean. The white has slight discolouration and the opening edge has light wear. The number and Beatles embossed text are sharp. On opening the inside images and text are unworn. The flipbacks are sealed and complete. The spine is firm and the sleeve still feels very solid.
