CONDITION
Labels
Disc 1: VERY GOOD Disc 2: EXCELLENT
As you can see, both labels of disc 1 do have some handling marks and there is some radial scratches on label 2. Disc 2's label are cleaner and without any significant signs of wear.
Visual
Disc 1: FAIR Disc 2: GOOD
Unfortunately, the discs have not been looked after the way they should have been and do bear a number of surface marks and scratches; some of which are 'feelable' beneath my fingertips. However, both are clean and lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing. This set should really only be considered a 'collection-filler' until/if a better copy comes along.
Sound Quality
Disc 1: GOOD Disc 2: VERY GOOD
Both discs have clearly been played many times. However, having played both discs through in their entirety, I can report that they do sound a little better than they look. The only major faults occur on side 1 where there is a single groove jump on 'Ob La Di..' and a deep radial scratch which caused my stylus to stick on 'The Continuing Story of Bungalow Bill'. Elsewhere some occasional light background during some of the quieter passages is audible and there are some light repeating clicks on 'Revolution 1' & 'Savoy Truffle', but no further major issues.
Cover: VERY GOOD
A clean & firm example with light storage & handling wear but no significant or major faults throughout. Both the unique number on the front panel and 'stereo' indicator on the rear and clean and bold and the laminate is fully intact over the raised front panel wording.
The inside of the gatefold is clean & unworn. The spine laminate & wording has worn away, but all seams are fully intact.
Poster: GOOD
Inner-sleeves: GOOD
General wear with some small tears to the upper edges and central windows, but only a single lower seams split.
