1968 UK 1st *STEREO* PRESSING

**NEAR MINT FACTORY SAMPLE**

This UK 1st STEREO pressing is on the dark green Apple labels: PCS 7067/8
Labels 2 & 3 display genuine 'pointed-ended' Factory Sample All labels carry the 'Sold in UK..' & the 'An EMI Recording' statement.
A 'KT' tax/price code is visible on the side 4 label.

Housed in a fully laminated, top-loading 'Garrod & Lofthouse' stereo cover, numbered: No. 0304716.
Complete with original matt-black inners, matt 'Garrod & Lofthouse' poster, four thick card colour photos & white paper photo spacer.

Matrix numbers: YEX 709-1, 710-1, 711-1, 712-1
Stamper numbers: 1/GGL, 3/AA, 4/GAO, 1/MG

Just a single light spindle trail to each label.

The surfaces are in pristine 'as new' condition viewed in strong daylight, bearing just a few inner-sleeve scuffs on side 4 but no marks or scratches.
Close inspection directly under a strong halogen lamp reveals just a few wispy paper hairlines but no other visual wear.
All sides lie 100% flat on the turntable with no signs of dishing or warping.

Audio: NEAR MINT

Played just once before I checked it - all tracks play & sound 100% 'as new'.
There are no traces of crackle, groovewear or any other signs of audible wear on any track.
All run-ins, bands play silently and the quiet sections play cleanly & clearly with no clicks, pops, hiss or other interference anywhere.

(N.B: I never grade anything played as 'Mint')

Cover: EXCELLENT PLUS

Extremely clean & unyellowed example from thick card which retains a glossy undamaged laminate all-round with no 'thumbnails' or other creasing.
Apart from slight shelfwear to the lower corners, all are in clean, square & unbumped shape.
The top-opening edges are clean, sharp & undamaged and the rear panel is pristine with a clear 'stereo' logo.
The spine has a 4cm & 2cm section of laminate split in the blank middle area but all the text is undamaged, clear & readable.

The inside gatefold is in perfect, 'as new' condition without any writing or marks.
