1968 UK 1st *STEREO* PRESSING
**NEAR MINT DISCS**
This superb UK 1st stereo pressing is on the dark green Apple labels: PCS 7067/8
All labels carry the 'Sold in UK..' & the 'An EMI Recording' statement.
There is no tax/price code is visible on any label.
Housed in a fully laminated, top-loading 'Garrod & Lofthouse' stereo cover, numbered: No. 058416.
Complete with original matt-black inners, matt 'Garrod & Lofthouse' poster & four thick card colour photos.
Matrix numbers: YEX 709-1, 710-1, 711-1, 712-1
Stamper numbers: 6/OD, 4/PG, 3/GGR, 1/RO

Both surfaces are in pristine 'as new' condition viewed in strong daylight and bear absolutley no marks or scratches to either side.
Close inspection directly under a halogen desk lamp reveals just a few barely visible wispy paper hairlines but no other wear.
100% flat on the turntable with no signs of dishing or warping.
Audio: NEAR MINT
Played just 2 or 3 times, all tracks sound 100% 'as new' with no trace of background noise, groovewear or any other signs of audible wear anywhere.
Even the delicate, most exposed tracks - 'Blackbird' & 'Julia' - play perfectly.
All run-ins, bands play silently and the quiet sections play without crackle, clicks, pops, hiss or other interference.
No marks or spindle trails.

Both surfaces are in pristine 'as new' condition bearing just a few faint inner-sleeve removal marks on side 4 but no other marks or any scratches.
Close inspection directly under a strong halogen lamp reveals no hairlines or any other visual wear.
Audio: MINT

An extremely clean & unyellowed example which retains a glossy undamaged laminate all-round with just a single tiny 'thumbnail' on the front panel.
The front panel has a small, faint black mark but this is under the laminate and is not due to damage or wear.
There is a bump to the lower left corner and a minor bruise to the upper right but no major wear to the other two
The top-opening edges are clean & sharp with just two tiny fingernail marks, but no tears or feathering.
The spine laminate has a 7cm section split in the blank middle area but all the text is covered & clean.
The inside gatefold is clean & unmarked.
All discs are carefully play graded in their entirety on a Rega P9 deck with an Ortofon Kontrapunkt 'A' cartridge.
