All Labels: MINT
An immaculate set with just a single faint mark to the side 1 & 4 centre hole from stacking in the factory, but not from a turntable.
Visual: Disc 1: EXCELLENT Disc 2: NEAR MINT
Both these discs have never been on a turntable before I received them and all retain their 'as new' deep-gloss shines. Disc 1 does bear several surface marks (not scratches) as a result from contact with the rough matt-black inner-sleeves. However, there are no such blemishes on the second disc which apart from a handful of barely visible wispy hairlines is essentially as it left the factory 42 years ago. Both discs lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.
Both discs play: Disc 1: EXCELLENT + Disc 2: MINT
This copy comes from an unplayed collection. I am happy to report that the sound on all sides are completely unworn and bear no trace of any grove/play wear or any background noise/crackle. The only audible blemishes which presented during my single careful play-check at volume, were approximately ten light clicks on 'Glass Onion' and a few faint ticks on the fade of 'Don't Pass Me By'. Apart from these minor distractions, this is a good an example of disc 1 as you could hope to come across. Disc 2 is wonderful and flawless throughout with even the easily and most frequently worn 'Goodnight' completely wear-free making a fitting end to an outstanding listening experience.
Cover
NEAR MINT
So hard to find a pristine, clean and white example of this cover - but this example is such a case. Carefully stored in a non-smoking environment all its life, all panels, inside & out bear no signs of yellowing or discolouration to any area. The front panel is in perfect 'as new' condition with an unworn high-gloss laminate with no creasing, 'thumbnails' or spine bends. The raised wording is completely covered and the laminate un-cracked around it and the individual number is clear and bold. There is a small bump to the upper left corner but no other noticeable wear to any other. The top-opening edges of both pockets are perfectly clean, sharp and unworn by any tears or feathering anywhere. The inside is immaculate and I would guess has never been fully opened - I did not attempt this either. The rear panel is as clean as the front with the only blemish being a faint 5cm wrinkle vertically near the leading edge, but again no 'thumbnails' or other signs of wear. The magnificent 10mm wide spine is, with the exception of a 2mm spot, fully laminated along its entire length and is uncrushed and wonderfully clean so that all the text is in perfect condition. To top it all, the seams of both pockets are smooth with no flaking laminate and are unstressed and unsplit.
