CONDITION
Discs
All Labels: EXCELLENT +
A fine clean, bright & unworn set of four with just a small number of light spindle trails around each unworn centre hole.
Both discs: EXCELLENT +
Each side of both discs are extremely clean and retain all of their 'as new' deep-gloss shines and are completely free from any scuffs lines or scratches in strong daylight. Close and careful inspection directly beneath my unforgiving halogen desk lamp reveals just some harmless wispy hairlines and faint marks from inner-sleeve removal/storage but no other visual blemishes or wear.
Both discs play: EXCELLENT +
this album has received just some very careful minimal amount of play on excellent quality equipment and the sound is clean and unworn throughout. My careful play-check at volume found no evidence whatsoever of any groove/play wear which is usually such a common feature of this pressing. There is a little light background in and out of 'Dear Prudence' and during 'Dont' Pass Me By', but apart from that there was precious little else to fault on disc 1. Even the exposed introduction to 'Martha My Dear' played without any distractions or wear. Disc 2 was also virtually fault-free, with the only distractions being a little background on the introduction to 'Sexy Sadie' and a few soft ticks on 'Revolution #9'. Copies which sound as good or better than this are hard to come by and this extremely respectable example would compliment any serious collection.
Cover
EXCELLENT
This well-preserved example which retains a good 'whiteness' & shiny, deep-gloss laminate all-round with minimal storagewear and no major faults. The front panel is perfectly clean & unworn with no 'thumbnails' or any other creasing or wear - even to the spine. There is a hint of shelfwear to the lower corners but all are bump and bruise-free. small bump to the upper left corner but no other significant wear to any other. The top-opening edges of both pockets are clean & unworn with just a small handful of tiny 'pushes' but no tears or feathering anywhere. The inside is clean & glossy but with two 'thumbnail' wrinkles on each panel. The rear panel has a bend in the upper right corner but is otherwise unworn. The spine laminate has spit and is a little dirty but the wording is still readable and all seams of both pockets are smooth with no flaking laminate and are unstressed and unsplit.
