German NUMBERED Copy No. 008053
This album was The Beatles FIRST release on the now famous Apple label. It was entered into the charts on the 7th of December 1968 and went straight to number one-where it stayed for 7 weeks! Making it the FIRST double album to get the top slot...EVER! The rather unusual fact about this album is that it was the first release by The Beatles which contained only SOLO material. By the time 1970 ended, the total sales of this wonderful album were estimated to be 6.5 Million! However...get this...The only other album that beat this a few years later was "Saturday Night fever" !!!

The Vinyl: EX+. Wonderful vinyl with equally superb sound reproduction. Truely marvelous! All there is, is dust and one very light hairline mark to side 2-which doesn't affet playback at all.....A simpe pleasure to listen too-ESPECIALLY UP LOUD! Each disc has good weight and are each as FLAT as the day she was born.
The labels: All four of the labels are lovely an clean with only a very few of the lightest spindle marks, visible only when angled towards the light and looking for them. There's a little factory bubbling to the side 3 label, really nothing to worry about-Please see the detailed photo's. "GEMA" boxed text on all four sides at 9 O'clock.

The Cover: It is side loading and NUMBERED 008053 She has seen better days as there is a small amount of wear, of 5cm to the top seem, as well as creases to the corners and tape residue to the top...Good spine. Please see the detailed photo's for your own grading.
Golden sticker to the front: "DEUTSCHER SCHALL PLATTEN PRIES"
"ELECTROLA GESELLSCHAFT M.B.H" printed text to the inside opening, beneath the printed track listing. "Printed and made in Germany" STEREO to the top right on the back of the cover. Quite an unusual cover, to be numbered AND made in Germany.
Inners: Original white poly-lined inners, each have small splits to their sides and windows. They have the correct period reference's to their bottom right corners: "250/34.77 0"

Poster: Yep, the poster is present and in surprisingly good shape. ORIGINAL German poster too...NOW that's rare. "ELECTROLA GESELLSCHAFT M.B.H" Printed to the bottom right on the back. There are some small splits to the creases, but really nothing to detract from it's original beauty.
Overall, she would make a VERY good filler for a collector. The vinyl really is superb Please do not bid if you are expecting a fantastic copy of this legendary album...She has wear to her cover, but has looked after her beating heart-the vinyl and she still plays through-with vigour!
