Stunning original early 1st pressing 1968 UK Stereo pressing of "The Beatles" (aka "The White Album") (number 0557715) double vinyl LP (with -1/-1/-1/-1 matrix numbers in the dead wax) in an embossed, top opening wide spine gatefold sleeve, dark green Apple labels with "Sold in U.K. subject to price conditions. see price lists" in the center ring of all four labels. 

Comes with all original four photos, and poster. Unfortunately the two die-cut black inner sleeves are missing but the LP's, jacket and inners are in exceptional condition.

Disc labels: (Side 1: NM/Side 2: NM/Side 3: NM/Side 4: NM); : All four LP's labels are near perfect, exceptionally clean with barely a trace of any use. NO pen or ink marks. NO stickers or adhesive.

The LP's are both extremely glossy, perfectly flat and look barely played with just a few very light superficial marks and nothing else. LP 1 weighs 141 grams and LP 2 weighs 133 grams. The audio is stunningly clean on all four sides with the barest hint of an occasional light pop. Even the softer tracks ("Blackbird", "I Will", Julia, "Mother Nature's Son") have only the slightest minimal amounts of audible popping or surface static. The only audible flaw worth mentioning is on side 4 during "Revolution 9". There is a series of light pops where there is a tiny scuff mark. Other than that, both LP's are truly of the finest audio copies we've heard. NO skips. NO jumps, NO loud pops, NO distortion and NO groove wear.

Jacket: (EX+): The Garrod & Lofthouse wide spine gatefold jacket (No. 0557715) is in excellent plus condition with light storage/age wear. The front, back and inner gatefold are unmarked and clean. All the white areas are exceptionally nice with very little graying or yellowing. All seams are clean and strong. All of the corners are also excellent. The spine has laminate lifting across the surface area. The jacket has NO pen or ink marks, NO split seams, NO tears and NO stickers or sticker reside.

Photos: (NM): All four photos are in very clean unused ondition. NO tape, NO staples, NO tack holes, NO pen or ink marks.

Poster: (EX): The poster is clean with light handling/storage wear. NO pen or ink marks. NO staples, NO tack holes and NO tape.

We are conservative graders and try to be as concise and as accurate as possible without a lot of the standard hype.  

We will never explain the condition of an item by saying it "looks good for something this old" 

as we consider that patronizing and an insult to potential buyers. Please ask us questions about any details about the item before bidding.

Shipping:

Packaging: All items are professionally packaged with high quality materials for shipment. No items will ever be loose in their shipping cartons. 

Records that are not sealed in their original shrink-wrap will never be shipped in their original jackets. 

All vinyl will be packaged outside of their original jackets so that no seam splitting can result from the shipping process.

Shipping charges for vinyl discs, posters and memorabilia include the cost of postage and boxes with extra padding. 

Good packaging is not cost effective but we insist upon safe and secure packaging. We do not want you to receive damaged items!
