'WHITE ALBUM'
1969 UK **SECOND STEREO PRESSING** LP
Pressed on original dark green Apple labels just after the deletion of the 'Sold in UK..' text in August 1969, and before the change to the 1970's light green labels, this rare second pressing contains a number of variants.The 1,2 & 4 labels show the 'An E.M.I. Recording' statment on one line.
The label publishing credits for George and Ringo's songs remain on 'Apple Publishing'

Both discs have the dark green Apple labels - PCS 7067/PCS 7068.
All labels omit the 'Sold in UK..' text but carry 'Apple Records...' rim texts.
There is no tax/price code is visible on any label.
The cover is an early outer laminated only side-loader numbered: No.149698 with mono & stereo numbers on the spine.
Complete with white Apple inners, four colour photos and 'Garrod & Lofthouse' poster.
Matrix numbers: YEX 709-1, 710-1, 711-2, 712-2
Stamper numbers: 6/GMD, 4/GLO, 1/GMP, 1/GOT
CONDITION
Both DiscsVisual & Audio: EXCELLENT MINUS Bright and clean surfaces with some light scuffs and small hairline scratches under intense direct light.
There are a few 'ticks' on Blackbird' and 'Julia' but overall the sound is crisp and clear but no groovewear distortion.
There are no jumps or repeats.
All labels: NEAR MINT
Sleeve: EXCELLENT MINUS A strong, clean cover is unyellowed and retains its high gloss outer laminate.
The front shows a tiny 'cut' along the bottom edge but has an unsplit laminate around the raised 'Beatles' wording.
The corners are in good shape but with a slight 'bump' on the lower right corner visible only from the rear.
The spine laminate has not split and all text present and readable. There is no writing, marking or tears anywhere.
