Incredibly rare copy of the Beatles' 1968 masterpiece The Beatles (White Album).
This is a complete, original mono pressing in fantastic condition. There is some minimal cover wear and some fading, but the top-opening sleeve is not damaged, the inner black Apple sleeves are perfect and intact and it comes with its original, uncensored poster and photographs. No tears, staple holes or tape damage.
This original UK pressing is number 0001120 - an incredibly low numbered copy. It's unlikely you'll see another copy with such a low number in such excellent condition.
Side 1 - PMC 7067. Matrix XEX-709-1 (other pressing info: to left of matrix 5, to right OM). While My Guitar Gently Weeps credited (correctly for this issue) to Apple Publishing, NOT Harrisongs. Excellent condition: 1 tiny visible surface scratch;
Side 2 - PMC 7067. Matrix XEX-710-1 (to left of matrix 5, to right TT). Piggies credited to Apple Publishing; Don't Pass Me By credited to Apple Publishing, NOT Startling Music. Excellent condition: 1 small visible surface scratch;
Side 3 - PMC 7068. Matrix XEX-711-1 (other pressing info: to left of matrix 2, to right PH). Long Long Long credited to Apple Publishing. Virtually mint condition: no visible surface marks;
Side 4 - PMC 7068. Matrix XEX-712-1 (to left of matrix 4, to right PP). Savoy Truffle credited to Apple Publishing. Excellent condition: 1 small hairline scratch marks.
Poster is intact and original - i.e. lyrics to the songs written by George and Ringo are credited to Apple Records (not Apple Publishing, Harrisongs, Startling Music, Eaton Music etc) which is correct for the first UK issue. The poster is the uncensored version - the photo of Paul which on some later versions (and all US versions, I believe) has his pubic hair removed is unaltered, as is the line drawing of John and Yoko: this version retains their genitals! All four colour photos are intact and in perfect condition.
Please ignore the shipping costs. Ebay requires me to add shipping at $4, but this record will not be shipped without insurance. Shipping to certain countries from the UK is problematic (this same copy was almost lost in transit to Japan) and so all shipping and insurance will be calculated AFTER THE AUCTION ENDS.
