Beatles White Album Original Australian Pressing
Numbered edition 00004
This record is the Beatles self-titled double album, known to all and sundry as the "White" Album. It was purchased from EMI in Melbourne, Australia on the first day of release by my father, owner of CRAM, a record shop in the above city. The Australian cover has top opening with raised "Beatles" and the number A 00004. It comes with black inner sleeves, poster and four pictures of the individual artists. The cover has some water damage along the bottom and also the right-hand edge for some 12 centimetres. This had seeped under the laminate causing stains and some small mould spots. There is only slight damage on the inside. Otherwise the cover is in very good condition with minor rubbing to the laminate. The poster is slightly grubby with minor stains (mould) along the centre fold and is otherwise in very good condition. Apart from a couple of minor creases on George, the pictures are in very good condition. The records have been used, but cared for and have some minor scuffing and one more noticeable mark that does not sound. The records play and sound superb with occasional minor surface noise.
