The Beatles
White Album
An historic album . Hailed as THE major accomplishment in popular music!!!!!
Extremely LOW NUMBER EDITION 0009518 .
Considering 100,000 copies were sold in the first week of release, this is an incredibly RARE collectors’ item!! Most of these low numbered sleeves never see the light of day, tucked away in some dark cupboard, guarded 24 hours a day by the avid vinyl enthusiast….where no person is allowed to touch or come close to such an extreme rarity. Not normally found on the open market ,so a very rare and scarce exhibit indeed, and like gold dust as these low numbered editions are seriously difficult/impossible to locate. This album presentation is in unbelievable condition with stunning vinyls and an impossible to find album sleeve.
Album sleeve
Limited edition number 0009518 , valued at hundreds of pounds as it is UNDER 10,000 issues. Absolutely remarkable and almost impossible to locate in such a stunning condition. Fully laminated opening gatefold sleeve , with vinyls being extracted from top of gatefold. Inner faces are beautiful with a staggering sheen, with flip back inner lateral edges. Laminate very tight with NO lifting, peeling , just the slightest of laminate splits on spine in a few places, mainly on top spinal edge but not deep. Minor creasing on two of the corners . NO rips or tears and minimal feathering to the opening edges. The slightest of corner scuffs observed! Almost impossible to locate like this, as the sleeve is one of the first to be manufactured and is an excellent example of this HUGE, monumental Beatles’classic. A fine specimen indeed , still retaining a glorious, glossy sheen. Smooth to the touch and gives a buzz when held. Embossed Beatles’ title projects magnificently from front face. To locate such a low numbered gatefold sleeve in this sensational condition , is truly quite unbelievable.
Comes with FOUR first issue coloured prints of the boys. Thick card manufacture so different from the later reissue photos which are flimsy and paler in coloration. Excellent condition.
Poster –first issue MATT original with light handling imprints only. No rips or tears and in really very good condition. Later posters were thicker and glossier.
Black Inner sleeves
NO rips or tears, just some light creasing and are fine examples of the original inner sleeves . Very delicate manufacture with one central cut out on one side only, so a definite design format, only issued with THE very first pressings. Most are found torn, ripped or even discarded after use, owing to their fragility. These are in wonderful condition and I doubt whether they were used. Excellent with NO seam splits, rips or tears. Slight miniscule nick on one top opening edge ONLY! Unbelievable condition!
Labels
Dark green Apple label format with Sold in UK text and NO E. M. I. Recording credits on ANY of these labels. I am led to believe that this feature confirms THE very first and earliest press of this wonderful album. A pre release batch was prepared to compensate for the massive surge in demand before the official album sale with the record labels omitting these credits. Only the later pressings show E M I Recording text after the initial batch was sold ,two weeks later . Therefore these vinyls , it appears, were pressed even before the official release date . The labels are remarkable with the lightest of spindle traces. NO mottling. NO peeling. No rips or tears. VERY SCARCE and mega Rare K/T/J tax code observed on one of these superb labels.
Vinyls
XEX 709-1 stampers 1 / 7 GRT crossed out LH
XEX 710-1 1 / 3 GDG
XEX 711-1 5 TL
XEX 712-1 1 / 1 GGD
Thickly pressed vinyls with a staggeringly, polished sheen. Best example I have ever viewed from this release. Most are found heavily played. Only a few extremely light hairlines/surface marks observed from all four sides, plus one small scuff on one track , side 4. Under ordinary light , they appear hardly played with stunning , glass like surfaces. A very lightly played album which is extremely unusual for a monumental Beatles’ classic such as this! Stunning visual!
Audio
An excellent aural delivery . As this is a mono recording, it is very hard to locate vinyls that have been very lightly played as most were used and abused, and heavily played which resulted in massive groove wear and surface damage. These have been very carefully handled and lightly played, so rare to find with the result of an excellent audio as there appears to be NO distortion from these channels and very little to fault. No scratches ,repetitive clicks. Hardly any hiss or pops. A truly remarkable aural delivery .Even Blackbird, which is the ultimate test piece for this album , is heard in sensational style with the minimum of surface disturbance. Tones are delivered with a razor sharp edge and a pin point accuracy that only these very first presses can convey. Awesome !
An absolutely remarkable presentation of ,without doubt, the most desired and coveted of the Beatles album releases.
An unbelievable find , true investment quality and an album to be treasured for many years to come. Probably the only chance that you will ever have, to own one of the very first 10,000 to be released and to find one of the earliest White albums in this condition, is unbelievable.
One of the most highly sought after and most desirable in the collectors’ world.
Absolutely awesome!
