100% complete ULTRA rare WHITE ALBUM first UK pressing !Virtually impossible to locate an example of this awesome Beatles’ release, numbered so close to that magic 1,000 figure !This album is the earliest I have come across with 0007997 inscribed on front face. One of the rarest Beatles’ records to be offered to you, so please do not miss this rare opportunity.

100% complete! So rare to find with all inserts intact. Original full size, first issue poster with lyrics on reverse . All FOUR colour prints , original two black inner sleeves, top opening gatefold sleeve ,fully laminated and two heavyweight first pressed vinyls with dark green Apple label format. Earliest pressed matrices 1/1/1/1 and NO EMI text on all four labels !

No sticks nor jumps during playback ! Super sheen on the vinyl surfaces. Beatles’ White albums were sequentially numbered and reissues were unnumbered and opened at the sides. Numbered copies in four digit range are very hard to locate and to find one under 10,000 is seriously impossible to find!

Pics four colour prints are VG

The prints have accumulated some browning/age discoloration over the years on reverse . Ringo has some mottling if angled against a strong light. No serious damage though and a delight to locate all four original pics with this early first pressing. Please note that these pics are the genuine thicker card manufactured prints and not the thinner, paper-like reprints found with later copies.

1st issue Poster/lyric insert

G&L printed 1968 EMI/Gram. Co. text on lower right to confirm a genuine first issue in very good condition . Seam split which is clean along one of the centre folds.  Adds to that authenticity which collectors love to see . An absolute gem of an example as most are found ripped and torn with major discoloration .

1st issue black inner sleeves

One for each vinyl but oh so delicate and not recommended to be used for housing the records as they will suffer major damage which most do. These are lovely examples with minor nicks on top/central edges only. NO seam splits at all on one inner and flip backs on each reverse again confirm that these are the original first issue inner sleeves .Other inner sleeve has 2 seam splits .VG/Ex condition and fine examples they are too.

Gatefold Top opening , album cover

Fully laminated with internal flip backs, vinyls being pulled from the top of the sleeve . Spinal column is superb with only three minor laminate splits .One of the very best album sleeves ever viewed, against a very early issue enumeration. No laminate lifting at all on centrefold or outer faces. Minimal knocks on lower lateral edges/corners only. Ring wear ultra faint and hardly visible, unless angled against a strong light. Indentations/imprints can be seen again but only if angled, otherwise unseen on outer faces. Still retains a whitish hue with a magnificent reflective gloss, seldom seen on these earliest album sleeves .Hardly any feathering to opening edges . Beautiful sheen and internal flip backs are undamaged. No rips nor tears. Just a minor mark-2cms right lateral edge, of front face but not intrusive to the eye, as its superior gloss is quite spectacular .

Make no mistake, this is a superb example of one of the earliest Beatles’ white album gatefolds and in comparison to later versions, this one gleams and is a beautiful collectors’ piece !At least an excellent example and many would grade even higher!

Dark green Apple labels

Sold in UK text confirming a first press of this magnificent release . NO EMI recording text on all four sides of this 2 album set ,confirming one of the earliest off the press. Later pressings had this EMI text on the labels. Tiny scratch mark on one label of one side where spindle has caught it . Several spindle marks visible, obviously had a moderate playing history. Superb examples .S1 Ex-/ S2,S3,S4 ex condition.

Vinyls

Two heavy weight, 175 grams ,thick cut vinyls .What an exhibit! Record 1 has several long hairline spindle marks extending across surfaces. Superior sheen to vinyl . Record 2 has some surface marks and hairlines visible. Slight dulling of the surfaces but still retains a faint gloss. VG visual .

 So early a pressing too, with following etched in dead wax:

Audio

No sticks, jumps or any other major faults at all. There is some distant static/surface, during the opening grooves and during quieter parts of the music. Blackbird plays extremely well and is a real treat for the listener. There is some surface between tracks and the odd audible tick , but do little to affect the music presentation. Tones are sharp and clear and rise well above any surface disturbance , with very little in the way of distortion, and with the loud cut engineering, the channels are well defined , with a tremendous depth of sound, that only these first pressed “MONO” recordings can produce . It is the clarity of the tones that make this Beatles album in a class of its own. At least a very good delivery,  and considerably better in some parts.
