1966 UK 1st *EXPORT* PRESSING* LP

This extremely rare album was pressed in very limited quantities in the UK by EMI in 1965 for EXPORT only

The album bears the familiar yellow & black Parlophone labels with the special export number: CPCS 104

Being for export only, both labels omit the 'Sold in UK..' text but have 'Gramophone Co. Ltd..' rims.

The 'KT' purchase tax code is visible around the side 2 centre hole.

The U.S. master tape was used to produce this LP and therefore all tracks on this pressing are the US remixed versions.

Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse ' printed 'Patents Pending' stereo export cover.

Complete with its original plain white 'Patents Applied For' inner-sleeve.

Matrix numbers: YEEX 112-A15 & YEEX 113-A15

The original U.S. matrix (ST2 2451) is scratched out in the side 2 run out.

Clean, vibrant and undamaged with just numerous light spindle trails around each unworn centre hole.

Visual: VERY GOOD -

Although clean & glossy, both playing surfaces display numerous light marks and some scratches in strong daylight, consistent with frequent play. There is just one 'hairline' scratch which is 'feelable' which is located on track 2 on side 2 and measures 2cms. Examination beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp highlights some of the wispy paper-type hairlines but reveals no further significant or major faults. Both sides of this rare album lies 100% flat on the turntable when playing, with no traces of dishing or warping either side.

Play: VERY GOOD

Despite having been played many times, my careful play-check at volume revealed no major groove/play wear suggesting that it has only been played on good quality equipment. There is however some minor background on some of the quieter moments such as; the introduction of 'You Like Me Too Much' and 'Yes It Is'. A few light ticks are present too in the bands between tracks and the aforementioned scratch on side 2 produces some faint clicks towards the end of the 1st track on side 2 - 'What You're Doing'. However, there are no jumps, repeats or any other significant or major audible fault which I have not mentioned.

Cover

VERY GOOD

A very respectable example which apart from some toning to the card displays no significant or major faults. The front panel is clean with several 'thumbnails' and spine wrinkles but no heavy creasing or wear. There is some shelfwear to the lower corners and a little to the rear opening edge but no tears anywhere. The rear panel is free from any marks, writing or missing paper. All flipbacks are fully intact and both seams and the fully worded spine are all smooth, unstressed and unworn.

Inner-sleeve

VERY GOOD -

Some toning and a few tiny age-spots but no writing, tears or splits.
