A MUST for the diehard Beatles fan! Buy It Now before Sir Paul shuts this sale down!! These outtakes were smuggled out of Abbey Road Studios on cassette tapes in the 80's and only recently digitized by a professional recording engineer. The quality is surprisingly good, and although most of the pre-roll only features George Martin dutifully calling out the song and take#,  there are some wonderful snippets of banter or discussion on how to structure the song at hand. when you hear the young blokes voices talking it makes your spine tingle! Collection also contains several post-Beatles Lennon tracks.
  A couple moments: HELP, Track 1, Takes 1-5 (instruments only) - Take 1 ends quickly with someone yelling "String Broke!". Next, we Hear George complain that he can't do the riff that will run under the "Please please help me" lyrics because its "just too fast". Then you hear Paul explain that they can overdub it later, and Ringo will keep time in the dead space on this instrumental-only Track 1 with his kick drum. You'll need headphones to hear the conversation. DO YOU WANT TO KNOW A SECRET, Track 2, Take 8: Hear George ask over the heavily reverbed vocal mic whether they should come in with the "OO wah OO's" immediately, or wait til the second verse. They decide to wait. I'M LOOKING THROUGH YOU, Take 1:  Before they wrote the bridge SAW HER STANDING THERE Track 2, Take 10: Hear Martin call it out under the working title, "Seventeen"
