Oh those folks at Savage Records. First off the cover is beat. As you can see in the photos the cover stays attached only at the original fold in the cardboard used to fold over and form the cover. Savage Records not being known for using top manufacturing in the production of their covers is an understatement. Luckily the vinyl is sound and actually has great weight to it. While that’s all fine the best part of this unique “Beatles” release is the rear liner notes. Ripping the boys for firing poor Pete after all he did for them. It might have something to do with the fact that Pete Best released his “Best Of The Beatles” album on, you guessed it, Savage Records around the same time as this beauty (I have one listed in another auction running right now on eBay). This record was unbelievably bootlegged back in the day to cash-in on it’s collectibility at the time. Still gets a good premium in mint condition so if you’re interested in another AUTHENTIC great piece from the height of Beatlemania at a lesser price for condition please add it to the Beatles catalogue your building.
I have many of these “satellite” type releases in lesser condition being up and running on eBay along with this one.
