From Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab (MFSL) this is THE BEATLES: THE COLLECTION by JOHN, PAUL, GEORGE and RINGO being all 13 of their British albums on 14 individual LPs. Twenty-five thousand sets were issued in 1981; this is #12,842. Each LP was mastered from the original Abbey Road Studio master tape at JVC in Japan with the exception of Magical Mystery Tour which was sourced from a copy of the US Capitol tape. This project was the only time the Beatles’ master tapes ever left Abbey Road studios.
Contents of Box:
- Fourteen (14) ORIGINAL MASTER RECORDINGS on LP
- One album-sized book with plain white protective cover showing original album cover art (note: the white covering is somewhat rare)
- One Geo-Disc still sealed (almost impossible to find sealed)
Condition:
- All fourteen LPs, the book and the Geo-Disc are in MINT condition (the LPs likely never played)
- Exterior of the box is NEAR MINT MINUS showing one tiny blemish at top (see photos) and having overall though very light wear
- Interior of box is MINT
These recordings, mastered by Stan Rucker whose initials appear within the matrix of each LP, were all cut at ½ speed from the original tapes using no compression or velocity limiting; the records were then pressed on JVC Supervinyl. Each LP is stored in a state-of-the-art MFSL inner sleeve within a heavy stock insert and then housed in sturdy outer, acid-free jacket.
No other format captures the Beatles sound as perfectly as these 14 pieces of wax. They are stunning. Your Beatles collection is not complete without them.

This box set was never sealed from MFSL so we suggest securing the contents (LPs, book & Geo-Disc) in separate carton for shipping by Priority Mail, UPS or FedEx. By shipping the box and its contents separately we can assure safe travel even to distant lands.
