It contains original studio recordings compiled illegally by a little U.S. label. COVER: NM+ DISC: They are the actual Beatles tracks. The source may be tape (hear some hiss) and/or commercial record releases. The first song sounds a little draggy, but my turntable is adjusted for proper speed. They obviously did NOT use master tapes, but pretty good. This is collectible because of what it is and their brazeness. NOT soundalikes. Side 1 - There is a small raised piece of something in the vinyl on part of Please Please Me. Naturally this wasn't mentioned when I bought it mail order many moons ago pre-eBay and internet. I have played it on two turntables and I barely notice when it gets to it. If it had really made it unplayable I would have asked to return it back then. Many times you were dealing with one seller from a record collecting tabloid, etc. No PayPal either. Every thing was through letters/mail. I was relieved when I played it yesterday again. If I wasn't waiting for it to 'do something' I may not have even noticed it. I took two close-ups of it. I bought several blue vinyl ELO - Out of the Blue vintage pressings back in the day and more than one copy had 'foreign objects'/stray bits of stuff IN the vinyl. One looked like part of a seed (citrus?) and it did make an obvious 'thwup' several rotations. This may be partially unmelted vinyl. It IS a bootl_g. Side 2 - 1 light tic and then 3 tics at the end of Love Me Do. Under a bright light I see NO physical thing to make that noise. No scratch, etc. May be from a vinyl source. Overall VG+/NM--
This may be a 1970's 'pirate' reissue since the cover has no lettering on the spine. That was the case with Vee-Jay pirate reissues.
