THE BEATLES -'STRAWBERRY FIELDS FOREVER'/'PENNY LANE'
This beautiful UK 1st pressing dates from initial February 1967 release on Parlophone: R 5570
The 'push-out' centre denotes an early pressing as from November 1966 EMI produced mainly solid centred discs of this title.
The disc is housed within its original full colour, thin paper picture sleeve which were supplied with only the first 250,000 copies.
This particular cover has the rarer green Parlophone symbol on the rear panel. Two variations of this cover exist - the earliest with a green logo, the other with a black one. Our research has concluded that covers with the black logo outnumber those with green logos by approximately 3 to 1.

Clean & bright with a handful of small/light spindle trails around each unworn centre hole.
Audio/Visual: NEAR MINT
Pristine, deep-gloss playing surfaces which appear 'as new' in strong daylight. Closer examination beneath halogen light reveals just a single light fingernail scuff on the run-in of 'Strawberry Fields Forever', but no other blemishes or wear. Both tracks play cleanly & clearly with no crackle or any groove/peak wear. Even the easily worn out 'Penny Lane' plays flawlessly.
Cover: NEAR MINT
Carefully and correctly stored in a clean, non-smoking environment these past 50 years, this time-capsule example is as close to 'as new' as you could hope to find. Both front & rear panel are clean & white with no yellowing or foxing or any other age-related blemishes. There are a couple of very soft storage wrinkles but no creasing or wear to the top/opening edges or stresses or split to any seam.
You will not find a better example of this amazing 45.
