READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning.  I can’t test-play at the minute. Please don’t bid if this is a problem for you.

Beatles’ Story 2-LP UNCONFIRMED 1970 “Mfd. By Apple” on the Side 2 Labels, EX!

All of the great books tell us that these labels were pressed in 1970 or prior, and that the titles in the catalogue released prior to “Abbey Road” in 1969 are still believed to not exist in the run.  (See photo of the detailed chart, many thanks to the friend to all of us in the collecting field, Perry Cox.)

Over the decades, I’ve finally been able to verify that the entire catalogue of this label variation does exist.  And only out of the Winchester plant.  Never seen one?

Well, here’s one, and it looks nearly brand new.  It’s also the copy that is pictured in my books on flash drive.

Vinyl--- NM/EX.  EX/NM.  Sides are configured 1-4, 2-3.  Sides 2 and 4 have just the slightest amount of lines that weren’t there when this album was issued from the pressing plant.  Sides 1 and 3 look unplayed.

Plates--- X7/X7.  X7/X10.  Hand-etched Delta symbol (or rifle) in the dead wax on both sides makes this copy pressed in Winchester.

Cover--- VG.  Structurally solid.  Light ringwear, moderate yellowing to front and back.  Some sticker residue to the front right corner.  NO SEAM SPLITS.

Gatefold--- VG.  Moderate yellowing and foxing on both panels.  NO CENTER SEAM SPLITS.

Labels--- EX/EX.  EX/EX.  Apart from a sprinkling of light spindle marks per side, these labels are nice and dark green, full gloss.

Apple Inner Sleeves--- VG+. Generic white inner sleeves with die-cut hole for the labels to show is present.  Sleeves are lightly yellowed, lightly wrinkled.  One sleeve has a tiny side seam split about 1/8-inch long, if that.  Second sleeve has a small tear at the top lip, and that’s it.

Generic inner sleeves will be provided, so as not to damage your original Apple inner sleeves en route.

RIAA: N/A

**If you’re still trying to complete this run, this is without a doubt, one of the absolute toughest titles to find.  By 1970, we all knew their story, and this one was one of the worst sellers.  The other one is The Early Beatles.**

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

Note:  All LP’s ship outside of their album covers in order not to damage the covers during shipment.

CAUTION!  There has been a startling increase in bidders canceling their bids.  A word to the wise, I have started blocking any and all bidders who retract their bids regardless of the reason.

Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)

**Check out my other auctions for more hard-to-find vinyl!
