A Rare Third Pressing of the Stereo Please Please Me 1963 PCS 3042 with large Stereo to cover and Angus McBean Credit after the S of Songs The first Yellow + Black Label with two 33 1/3 `s to Label which was an error very few copies were ever pressed Parlophone shortly after release in March 1963 decided to modernize the label to Yellow + Black after the well known Gold + Black 1st + 2nd Pressings. The mistake of including two 33 1/3 `s to label was a consequence of the transition from Gold + Black. This only appeared on the very first batch of Stereo Yellow + Blacks + then disappeared from all subsequent pressings. These Stereo 1963 Pressings are amongst the rarest of all Beatle Records as Mono was by far the preferred format for Record Buyers in 1963. This as I think you can tell by my photos is an outstanding copy + by far the most valuable LP I have listed on e bay. The Vinyl is still in stunning condition a very well cared for LP with the centre hole Side Two touched in slightly with black pen. A previous owner has done this and he really didn`t need to bother as its only very slight. Side One Label has M above the centre hole the first part of the Purchase Tax Code from 1963 Sleeve is the very first Issue Stereo one with large Stereo + Angus McBean Credit starting after S on Songs The back is still lovely + white with full fold over although creased + straightened by Printed by Ernest J Day + Co Credit Original Inner bag in excellent condition Has the earliest Matrix Numbers YEX 94-1 YEX 95-1 + very early Mothers 1 P + 1 G The Beatles used to agonize over the Mono mixes but left the engineers by themselves to sort out Stereo. The spine of this Record Sleeve is perfect all the way down with no creases or breaks The Vinyl plays faultlessly + still has it vinyl sheen. Amazing sound from these early Stereos when you listen it sounds as though they are playing in the next room ! A scarce opportunity to buy one of the rarest Stereo copies of Please Please Me in collectible condition Very few were ever pressed + even fewer turn up like this !
