Information on "Sgt. Pepper's" What to add here? Here is THE original German Odeon ZTOX-Release, dating back exactly to May 30, 1967. I think every BeatleManian on this globe knows how to handle that information. Whenever it might remain an "inside-Beatles-Fans-ideological-issue" whether this one or Abbey Road mark the band's highest of all of their highlights, it goes without saying that the copy at auction here is one of the most valuable collectibles among all Beatles records.
Wasting precious time on stories everybody knows? - Well: Considered one of the greatest albums in rock history, and one that changed the world, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band showed the band's flair for writing and imagination; taking an unprecedented 129 days to record (most albums are recorded in a week or two). Paul came up with the title and concept: an old-fashioned band playing a concert in "the summer of love". Most songs were also written by Paul, since John had become so LAZY (at this point) that he hardly left his house. The incredibly varied sound effects and recording techniques left a mark on rock music that is even still felt today. The American version was almost identical as the U.K. version - except that the "inner groove" track was not included and the disc was banded wereas the British version was not. The album won Grammys for "Album Of The Year", "Best Contemporary Album", Best Album Cover, and "Best Engineered (Non-Classical) Recording".
Also: Pepper was rereleased as a picture disc in 1978 in the United States in conjunction with the "Sgt. Pepper's" movie starring the Bee Gees.

And here is what you'll get...
You are bidding on a copy of Beatles' "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" album, issued by Odeon on May 30, 1967 in Germany under the white/red/gold Label. This record comes in a great excellent shape.
It's a ZTOX German first pressing, meanwhile a little more than fourty years old. Comes complete, with "crafter's sheet".
Record plays smoothtly; no repeats, or whatever. There is one short skip on side two, last song, right at the end of A Day In The Life. However, the sound is great, the discs reflect an excellent sound, it is really great thing to listen to.
If you're serious about "scanning for" Beatles collectibles, this nice item is kind of "must-have" (even if you already own a copy of Pepper, for I barely can imagine you already own this release).
As usual at my auctions, please refer to photos below. I always spend plenty of time on visual documentation to give you guys a real chance to "take justice".
