SGT. PEPPER'S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND

Released 1st June  1967 ( mono & stereo ) This was a milestone in music history and the only album that was released globally around the same time ! Not only was this released at the same time but nearly every country released the album without modifying the cover !!! even in the U.S . Paul recalls the title came from himself and Mal Evans after juggling with ideas from salt and pepper packets marked S and P , which eventually became   ' Sgt Pepper '  and the ' Lonely Hearts Club Band ' was just a bizarre collection of words strung together which Paul quoted ' That'd be crazy enough because why would a lonely hearts club have a band ' .

COVER

This is an original and extremely rarer Wide Spined variantion of this iconic fully laminated  GARROD & LOFTHOUSE gatefold cover ,with double inner flaps. As sales for this album were so high , it's very easy to find a copy of Sgt Pepper's but Mono issues are alot harder to come by and especially the Wide Spined issues ! and if you are privilaged enough to come across one , the chances are it's in very used condition. This one however has been very well cared for ,the laminate is in beautiful condition with no bubbling, lifting etc and just a couple of small light creases , the super wide spine has no cracking or splits with a clear readable text and no centre crease down the middle ! the corners do have some light bruising which is not too heavy and does not spoil the overall appearance , the rear is equally as clean and bright as the front with nothing more than some light creases (another first for The Beatles,having the lyrics printed on the back) .The inside flaps are intact, un-worn and again the laminate is clean and bright with nothing more to fault than the un-avoidable creases along the spine from opening.Overall a very nice clean and bright example just let down a little by the corners  ( see- pics )   EXCELLENT  CONDITION 

VINYL

Both sides have a deep glossy shine and look super clean and bright .Under closer inspection reveals nothing more than some tiny wispy paper removal marks and a couple of small faint hairlines on side 1 ! No scratches , scuffs or nasty surface stains. Both sides play through extremely well with barely any disstractions , amazing how an album like this has been so well cared for and respected, clear audio from this mono version with nothing more than a hint of crackle upon intro , this realy is a great looking and sounding example of this classic original mono 1st pressing, with no evidence of groove wear or background noise present ! visualy in EXCELLENT CONDITION and Audibly in EXCELLENT PLUS CODITION ( see -pics )  

LABELS

Both labels are the original Yellow Parlophone with ' sold in the uk subject...' print. Side 1 is near immaculate , with no writing, stickers, stains or spindle traces present, super clean EXCELLENT PLUS CONDITION Side 2 has the KT tax code present and is also clean and free from writing, stickers , stains etc but does have some spindle traces visable around the centre hole , hence  EXCELLENT MINUS CONDITION  ( see-pics )

GRADING:

ITEMS ARE  GRADED USING THE UK RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM.ALL ITEMS ARE PLAY GRADED AT VOLUME AND ARE VISUALY INSPECTED BOTH IN DAYLIGHT AND UNDER STRONG LIGHTING WITH DETAILED DESCRIPTION.

PACKING:

DISCS ARE ALWAYS REMOVED FROM THEIR COVERS AND HOUSED IN PROTECTIVE PLASTIC SLEEVES.THEY ARE THEN PLACED BETWEEN RIGID CARD STIFFERNERS AND THEN CAREFULLY PACKED IN STRONG PROFESSIONAL CUSTOM MADE BOXES. THUS GIVING MAXIMUM PROTECTION, SO YOU RECIEVE THE ITEM IN THE SAME CONDITION AS IT LEFT US.
