Here is a very reasonable first-issue copy of this great album.
You can see condition of the cover from the photos, which are the item for sale. It's very good, lamination in good condition, flipbacks at top of the inside of the gatefold. I'll mention minor defects - a little wear to the corners, and "scallops" from taking record out of sleeve. Ring-wear, which has dulled the lamination on front and back, in a circle. There's a spot / stain on the yellow background, on the inside of the gatefold.
Playing surface shows lots of various marks, mostly light, surface-y. I wanted to see what this one would sound like, so I cleaned it, then play-tested it all the way through. The music drowns-out any scratchy noises, scratches are not audible, in normally-loud parts, and also get lost in-among drumming. Scratches are audible in quiet parts here-and-there, and between tracks, but not very loud. Original sound is still present, this is not worn-out - it sounds as a mono copy of this album ought to sound.
By the way, the label on the LP is flawed - see the photo. These labels don't detach, solidly bonded to the vinyl. At the pressing-plant, the label must have been folded-over at the edge, meaning that part of it didn't get stuck to the record.
Rare Record Price Guide suggests a price of £150 for a mint copy of this. Because the vinyl doesn't look good, and you'll be putting-up with occasional audible scratchy-ness, I could part with this one for £16.50.
