Description
Details: Lovely original Australian pressing of classic Beatles LP with rare and unusual silver black labels. Comes with standard issue UK imported sleeve including Sgt. Pepper cut-outs and pink wavy inner sleeve.
Cover: Laminated flipback gatefold cover shows some mild signs of age (it is 43 years young!) with slight ring wear on rear, some spine scuffing and slight bump to top left (see pics). Colours are bright and clear with no discolouration or fading. Record sleeve opening shows slight signs of wear but without tears, feathering or other damage.
Vinyl: Excellent high quality pressing with original 1st pressing matrix numbers in the dead run-off wax - YEX 637 -1/YEX 638 -1. Silver black labels are clean with just a few signs of spindle wear. Edges of vinyl show light signs of handling but there are no finger marks or dust on the tracks. Vinyl shows acceptable faint marks associated with removing the vinyl from it's inner sleeve. There are one or two pops and clicks throughout but fidelity is fantastically clear and crisp - beautiful depth to the bass and no loss of clarity on higher pitched instruments - this is certainly an excellent pressing. In summary - a carefully looked after original pressing that'll be an excellent addition to anyone's collection.
